LF546 / TS546 Discipleship, Soul Care & Spiritual Growth (3 credits)
Fridays, 1.45 pm-5.00 pmThis is a class that focuses on soul care or “soul training” of the disciple of Jesus Christ who aspires to grow, and be a leader. The objective of this class is not to give a comprehensive course on the discipline of spiritual formation, but on the believer’s ongoing growth and formation; and especially for leaders and shepherds, how to deal with pitfalls that crowd out our passion and space for God, e.g., living a marginless lifestyle and burnout. There will, therefore, be hands-on soul training exercises for the student to apply spiritual disciplines discussed in class, and guide to helping them and people they shepherd rewrite their narratives in God’s power. This is a no-audit class.
