Good Friday – It is good because we who are sinners have a good, good God who died for our sins.

Christ is Risen on that first Resurrection Sunday!
“If you confess with your mouth ‘Jesus is Lord,’ and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved” (Romans 10:9, ESV).
May He reign in your life even as He is LORD of all!

“But he was pierced for our transgressions; he was crushed for our iniquities; upon him was the chastisement that brought us peace, and with his wounds we are healed.”

“It is finished!” said Jesus as he breathed his last and gave up his spirit (John 19:30). This final act showed in stark relief how he willingly and unflinchingly took on the entire weight of all our sins upon himself as the sacrificial lamb of God after he had completed all the prophetic tasks required of him as the incarnate Christ.
Why is Jesus’ Resurrection Such a Big Deal?

Jesus Christ is alive on that first Resurrection Sunday and for all time hence!
His being raised on the third day is truly a miracle. The resurrection of Jesus after his death and burial is also foundational to the Christian faith. Why is that so? There are at least five reasons why the resurrection is essential to all who believe in Christ as their Saviour and God (also see References below for more related information). These are primarily based on the Bible passage of 1 Corinthians 15:12-19.
Holy Saturday Reflection: Why Is There Suffering?

A reflection theme for Holy Saturday–the day “in-between” the eventful days of Good Friday and Resurrection Sunday: If God is indeed real, why is there death and suffering on Earth still? Consider pondering over Mr Max Jeganathan’s message as he spoke at a Good Friday Service on this universal issue of suffering. Whether one is a follower of Christ or otherwise, his message is deeply relevant to us all.
