Prayer Pointers – 29 July 2021
“Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you. Not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid.” – John 14:27, ESV
We rejoice for the new students’ safe arrival in Singapore with their families, even amidst the spike in Covid-19 cases locally and globally. We received sad news from our alumni on the passing of their loved ones due to the pandemic. God, you are our refuge and strength, we need Your grace and mercy. In You, O Lord, we have lasting peace, unwavering hearts, and a blessed hope. Shalom.

“This is the Lord’s doing; it is marvelous in our eyes.” – Psalms 118:23, ESV
Lord, you have done great things in our midst. By your grace and the faithfulness of our founders, EAST was established 29 years ago. EAST has equipped some 500 leaders and missionaries from 23 nations. As a multicultural community, we build on the good work of our founders to develop Christlike servant leaders holistically in the heart, head, and hands who are fulfilling the Great Commission around the world.
Prayer Pointers – 15 July 2021
“Come, let us build the wall of Jerusalem, that we may no longer suffer derision.” – Nehemiah 2:17b, ESV.
Nehemiah rebuilt the wall of Jerusalem and in the process reenergized a faith community united by the same purpose in their work and worship as a testimony to the watching world. Let us continue to build a strong EAST community united in its learning journey to have a gospel impact on those within and without. May we leverage on digitalisation and the internet to equip and multiply servant leaders for global impact.

“Enter his gates with thanksgiving, and his courts with praise! Give thanks to him; bless his name.” – Psalm 100:4, ESV
We thank God for a new cohort of students as they begin their equipping journey this July with EAST. It is heartening to meet them virtually during Aleph (orientation) and feel their joy. Some are already in Singapore while others are learning online until they can travel again. May God bless them in their learning journey with us.
