It Is Finished!
“18 For you know that it was not with perishable things such as silver or gold that you were redeemed from the empty way of life handed down to you from your ancestors, 19 but with the precious blood of Christ, a lamb without blemish or defect.” (1 Peter 1:18-19, NIV)
“IT IS FINISHED!” declared the Saviour when He died on the cross that first Good Friday (John 19:30). Worthy is the Lamb that was slain! A perfect, spotless, unblemished sacrifice that saved the world!

Proclaiming the Lord’s Death Until He Comes Again
“The Lord Jesus, on the night he was betrayed, took bread, 24 and when he had given thanks, he broke it and said, ‘This is my body, which is for you; do this in remembrance of me.’ 25 In the same way, after supper he took the cup, saying, ‘This cup is the new covenant in my blood; do this, whenever you drink it, in remembrance of me.’ 26 For whenever you eat this bread and drink this cup, you proclaim the Lord’s death until he comes.” (1 Corinthians 11:23b-26, NIV)
This Maundy Thursday, let us remember – his flesh broken and his blood poured out for us that we may experience forgiveness and healing now and forever. Amen.
Jesus Christ Gave Up Everything to Become Man
“…When the time came, he set aside the privileges of deity and took on the status of a slave, became human! Having become human, he stayed human. It was an incredibly humbling process. He didn’t claim special privileges. Instead, he lived a selfless, obedient life and then died a selfless, obedient death—and the worst kind of death at that—a crucifixion.” (Philippians 2:6-7, AMP)
Jesus Christ, the Son of God, humbled himself to become man so that man can now know God through believing in Christ as their Saviour and Lord. Hallelujah!

Being Born Anew!
“As is true of man who is born naturally and receives a human nature from his parents, so man born anew receives a new nature, a new capacity for service and devotion to God.” – John F. Walvoord
