Celebrate God this Christmas!
A Christmas Reflection by Mrs Margaret Chan, EAST Partners-in-Ministry Program Director
There are quite a number of Christian platforms advertising Christmas concerts for our viewing on Youtube over the Christmas season. There are also Christian choirs giving online performances via zoom platform. Churches all over the world will conduct Christmas services on Christmas day. These are joyous ways to proclaim the Christmas message to the public, for viewers to enjoy performances and for worshippers to rejoice over the Christmas message being proclaimed.
Abba Father sent Jesus into this world as a tiny baby not just for us to celebrate Christmas once a year, in merry making and giving of gifts. Abba Father sent Christ into this world to become the Saviour of sinners so that we can be reconciled to Him and become His beloved children.
Remembering the Season of Emmanuel
This Christmas, we take time to remember Jesus Christ and how He started His time on earth as the Son of Man being with His people. The name given to Him to signify this time was Emmanuel, ‘God with us’.
Below is the Christmas version of ‘Your Name’ a song of worship which reminds us of the names given to Jesus, and how they signify the roles of Jesus in being our God with us, our God who saves, our Wonderful Counsellor and Prince of Peace.
Have a blessed Christmas season there with family and friends.

The true light
The true light, Jesus Christ, was coming into the world. He was in the world, and the world came into being through him, yet the world did not know him. He came to what was his own, and his own people did not accept him. But to all who received him, who believed in his name, he gave power to become children of God. Have you received Jesus Christ into your life and truly believed in his name? When you pray to God and received Jesus Christ as your Lord and Saviour, you become a child of God and that would be the greatest Christmas present you can ever have. If you have already believed and trusted in Jesus, take time to ponder this wonderful gift of being a child of God because of Him.
The Advent season is here
The Advent season started last Sunday and we are into the second week of it. Let us prepare our hearts to ponder anew the birth of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ whose name is Immanuel meaning “God with us”.
