Even so, God extends amazing grace to all of us and gives us a Way to face the day.

With the recent coronavirus outbreak, people have turned in a myriad of directions to find hope. Some have turned to the government and medical professionals to protect them, others have turned to miracle cures available for purchase on the internet, still others have turned to superstitions and rituals to provide the defenses they need to combat this unseen menace.
All of this illustrates that people hope in lots of different things: economic prosperity, global initiatives for solving climate change, better political leaders, educational reform, religion, meaningful friendships and romantic relationships, good food and drink, the newest diet plan, the latest entertainment options and social media platforms, better healthcare—the list is nearly endless.

Drawing lessons learnt from a personal quarantine a few years ago and presently as well as reflections from God’s Word, Ms Joanne Kwok traces out three “secrets” in this season of stay home circuit breaker for us to ponder.
I knew He was showing me something. Every time he brought His disciples somewhere to have their buttons pressed (think having to find food for thousands or sail through crazy storms) – He was showing them something.
This has always been how He’s tested, taught and trained His people for what is to come. I believe that’s exactly what He’s doing again, now. We need to shut up, sit up and press in.
Because, yes, we feel trapped in our houses. Incapacitated by the Circuit Breaker. We’re no longer in any real control, at the mercy of the invisible enemy. And deep down inside we’re scared that we’ve forever lost what we used to have.
But this condition will pass – and we need to remember how this feels like, what it’s revealing. We need to know it for whatever comes next.

EAST Latest Measures to Prevent Spread of COVID-19

Following latest government advisories, East Asia School of Theology (EAST) will close its premises from 7 April to 4 May 2020 which includes its Administration Office, Classrooms, and Library.
