“Blessed is the onewho does not walk in step with the wickedor stand in the way that sinners takeor sit in the company of mockers,2 but whose delight is in the law of the Lord, and who meditates on his law day and night..” ~ Psalm 1:1-2 (NIV)
The poetic and metaphoric psalms began with a direct assertion of one who is called “blessed” by virtue of his disassociation with the “wicked or ungodly, sinners or unholy, and mockers or desecrators” but one who is in close fellowship with YHWH, God Himself, at all times.
May this song reminds us of Who God is, and to Whom we do belong and pay homage as we ponder Why is Good Friday, good?
He is our Rock and Redeemer who defends, fights, and shields our weary hearts; He thus brings a song, hope, joy, and refuge in our times of need so that He is glorified through it all.
