Joy to the World!

 

It’s Christmas again, and we want to wish all our family and friends a blessed festive season with the Lord!

A number of our students have put together this video of Joy to the World as a way of celebrating and remembering the Son of Man as the Joy of the World indeed.

World Missions (Concurrent Day Course)

World Missions (IS510, 2 Credits, Concurrent)
11 January – 10 May 2022, Wednesdays, 9.00 am-11.00 am

This course introduces the exciting biblical, historical, cultural, and strategic perspectives of Christian world missions. Special emphasis is given to the expansion of Christianity, missionary methods used by key people, and lessons for today. Key subjects addressed in the course include how much of God’s global mission has been completed, how much is left to do, how it is being done, and what He wants to do through His people.

Audit students are expected to complete assigned readings.

A Breath of Fresh Air

“A BREATH OF FRESH AIR” By Dr Lau Ying Kheng, faculty at East Asia School of Theology

In April this year, the 2nd wave of Covid-19 engulfed India, taking away over 7 million jobs. Almost overnight, 9,000 Indian children lost one or both parents (theguardian.com). It was devastating.

That wave made a splash in my life a month later. One early morning, while praying and preparing for a talk on “Freedom”, the Lord asked me, “You said your heart is broken for India, so what will you do for her?”

I shared this burden with my Bible study group two hours later; two of the ladies told me, “God asked me the same question before I came!” Read more

Urban Ministry (Concurrent Day Course)

Urban Ministry (IS561, 3 Credits, Concurrent)
11 January – 10 May 2022, Tuesdays, 9.00 am-12.00 pm

This course helps students discover and explore the various aspects of urban ministry in light of the rapid urbanization and globalization of the world, how the city shapes our lives as humans and as Christians, and how the church can plant churches and ministers in the city.

Audit students are expected to complete assigned readings.
