You will learn how to use tools and methods that will make you a better informed and more accurate interpreter of the Old Testament, and be equipped with some fundamentals of Hebrew. Open to all except MDiv Teaching and Exposition program students.
Pre-requisite or concurrent with: BS510 Bible Study Methods and Hermeneutics.
Jeremy Chew, PhD, as a Cru Singapore staff (since 1991), ministered to high school and campus students both locally and overseas as a missionary. He received his PhD from Asbury Theological Seminary. His greatest desire is to integrate biblical exposition with spiritual formation.

Going beyond public speaking skills, you will learn how to take a biblical text and develop a message relevant to the audience.
Pre-requisites: BS510 Bible Study Methods and Hermeneutics, OT510 Old Testament Narratives, may be taken concurrently with NT510 New Testament Narratives.
Jacob Li, ThM, is passionate about teaching. He holds a Master of Continuing Education (Adult Learning) from University of Calgary (Canada) and Master of Theology (Bible Exposition) from Dallas Theological Seminary (USA). He has taught at churches, para-church ministries and seminaries in Canada, USA and Asia.

Educational Ministry of the Church (Day Course)
LF532 Educational Ministry of the Church (3 credits)
Tuesdays, 1.45 pm-5.00 pm
This course is for every educational director, Sunday school teacher, and leader of the church ministry. The church is one of the main platforms of each believer’s Christian education for healthy spiritual formation. This course offers a practical and comprehensive introduction to the educational ministries in the church. Brief yet foundational theories for promoting of Christian education will be examined along with biblical and theological perspective in educational ministries. The interdisciplinary understanding of the church ministry for each age group will be dealt with for Christian growth among God’s people.
Han Hye Jeong Justine, PhD, has served in counselling ministries in Korea, Japan, and USA with Cru, and as a pastor of Women’s and Children’s Ministry for Korean-American churches. She was also a course tutor of Education and Pastoral Ministry in the Distance Education at Trinity Evangelical Divinity School (USA).

Do you know your spiritual heritage? This course will take you through a study of Christianity from the late first century to the rise of the Enlightenment. There is special emphasis on key figures and events as well as theological developments in the Church through these centuries.
Lewis Winkler, PhD, joined Cru in 1987 and has taught in three seminaries in the USA and Asia. He enjoys interacting with students over basketball and casual discussion on how the Bible applies to life and issues today.

Survey, interact with, and imaginatively apply in contemporary context the major theological and scriptural doctrines relating to the Bible, God the Father, Jesus Christ, and the Holy Spirit.
Pre-requisite: BS510 Bible Study Methods and Hermeneutics, TS510 Worldview and Biblical Decision Making or IS520 Contextualisation.
Raymond Go, PhD, has served in both the Church Resource Ministry and the Chinese Ministry of Philippine Campus Crusade for Christ. From 1997 to 2018, he served as faculty at the International School of Theology-Asia (now the International Graduate School of Leadership).
