Awaiting Jesus
We are less than two weeks away from Christmas. Today’s verse from John 1:14 reminds us of how the Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. For those who lived in the days of Jesus’ birth and life, they have indeed seen his glory, the glory of the one and only Son, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth. Today, we who have put our trust in Jesus await the day of his second coming where we can see his full glory anew. Come, Lord Jesus, come.

Faculty Development Reflection (Part 1)
This is my second Faculty Development workshop and like the first it was conducted fully online. Being a relative newcomer to the EAST family, just over a year, there was a lot to learn, like the first one about a year ago.
The Advent season is here
The Advent season started last Sunday and we are into the second week of it. Let us prepare our hearts to ponder anew the birth of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ whose name is Immanuel meaning “God with us”.
Studying Job with Dr. Mona Bias
EAST has been privileged to invite Dr. Mona Bias, from International Graduate School of Leadership (IGSL), to teach the Book of Job as an intensive class over the last eight days. Dr. Bias is a published author and has co-authored A Commentary on the Book of Job. She is both scholarly and creative in her approach of teaching which included Zoom breakout sessions, videos, a class debate, times of quiet (lectio divina) in listening to God and a class play through dramatic narration aside from written assignments and a book review for the credit students.
Happy Thanksgiving
A very Happy Thanksgiving to all who celebrate! Truly, this is the year that we need to be thankful to God for everything we have – our family and friends, our health and every breath. Let us not take anything or each day for granted but live each day for His glory.
