Dr Alvin Tey teaches the #GO “building bridges to different faiths” monthly workshop sessions (Jan – Apr 2025). For instance, the 13 February session was on Confucianism & Taoism with some 50 attentive members in attendance. Dr Alvin shared about the worldviews of the two Asian religions and its cultural contexts and practices. He also shared the need for believers to do contextualisation to better understand and communicate with adherents of such faiths.

During the Q&A time, heartfelt questions were presented to the panel. Members of the panel consist of Pastor Gabriel Liew (Living Hope Methodist Church), Dr Alvin Tey (EAST), and moderator Robin Khoo (EAST alumnus). Panellists shared on being good neighbours to non-believers, filial children to non-Christian parents, and avoiding syncretism in our Christian practices.

Do consider joining subsequent sessions of the equipping workshop!
