Partner EAST to Reach the Goal

 

EAST has moved into East Mission Hub (EMH) since end-2020; the outstanding loan amount has been reduced from the initial $8 million to about $500,000. EAST is extremely grateful to all ministry partners who have sacrificially given. We continue to trust in the Lord to provide for the remaining balance.

Prior to the purchase of EMH, EAST leaders and staff sought the Lord and agreed on a set of visionary goals now known as the EAST Vision 2030:

To date, we have graduated over 500 graduates with over 460 alumni serving in 28 countries or protectorates including the following:

By God’s grace, in the calendar year 2022 through the ministry of staff and students of EAST, we were privileged to reach over 10,000 learners, participants, and views through classes, in-person seminars, outreaches, online webinars and podcasts:

The EMH premise provides an excellent place for us to experience the loving and vibrant multicultural community of EAST life through our weekly chapel and also mentoring groups (MGs). Read about how EAST MGs serve as a key avenue for the students’ spiritual, character and ministry formation.

The venue has also greatly contributed to our educational mandate. It fosters  a transformational community, provides a cross-cultural learning environment, enriches life-on-life mentoring, and facilitates onsite in-person learning and production of e-resources for online learning.

The EMH is truly an outreach hub in sharing God’s love to our neighbours. We provided free health check to the many migrant workers living in the area and sought to bless nearby flat-dwellers and shopkeepers with seasonal gifts and spiritual conversations as appropriately.

We are grateful to God for the privilege of serving the region of Asia through our equipping and outreach effort. An urgent need is to raise the final sum to fully pay off the EAST Mission Hub. Being free from the crunch of the skyrocketing interest payment would further release more resources to fulfill God’s call toward our 2030 goals.
