Old Testament Narratives – Online Day Course

Old Testament Narratives (OT510, 3 Credits, Online)
13 January – 12 May 2023, Fridays, 1.30 pm-4.30 pm

An expositional study of the Pentateuch and the Historical books of the Old Testament (Genesis through Esther), giving attention to the covenant motif and theological themes.  Emphasis will also be given to the interpretation of narrative genre with attention to various elements such as literary, historical, political, and cultural contexts as well as relationship to the New Testament.
Prerequisite: BS510 Bible Study Methods and Hermeneutics.

 

Gilbert Soo Hoo, PhD, is a missionary with Serving in Mission East Asia (SIMEA). Formerly a faculty member of Singapore Bible College (SBC), he is now an adjunct professor at SBC and Baptist Theological Seminary (BTS). He guest preaches and have taught adult Bible classes at local churches.
