Zoom Relief Tips Redux
EAST published a four-part series, “ABCs of Handling Zoom Fatigue,” which gave some Zoom relief tips on our blog some eight months ago. Here is a summary list of the tips and links to the actual posts (click on the section title). Enjoy!
Part 1
- A – Adjusting the screen to “speaker’s view” (when we are attending class or meeting), and not looking at your own view.
- B – Breaks to be taken regularly for the brain to rest and to stretch the body.
- C – Cut down on virtual meetings.
Part 2
Do exercises viz:
- A – Arm stretches.
- B – Bend your body.
- C – Circulation of your blood is improved through such movement breaks!
Part 3
- A – Ask how everyone is doing before you begin a Zoom session.
- B – Build in screen breaks intentionally. Take screen breaks every 30 minutes – even for 3 minutes.
- C – Cultivate healthy habits (mobile devices, meals, exercises).
Part 4
- A – Audio: make sure you have good and clear sound.
- B – Background: check your screen background. Keep it simple and pleasing to the eyes.
- C – Connect: call up someone to chat, meet over tea or coffee, and cut down on back to back online meetings.
May you experience His shalom peace amidst such challenging times. Selah.
