Alumni Get Together (July 2020)

 

Recently, at an EAST Alumni Get Together in July 2020, we heard from the outgoing EAST Alumni Chaplain, Mr William Lim Aik Ghee, who gave us his farewell sharing and encouragement to press on. Hosted on Zoom by Ms Esther Tan, EAST Alumni Coordinator, those present then broke into small breakout groups for sharing and prayer.

The EAST President, Rev Dr Chan Chong Hiok, then gave an update on EAST’s happenings while the new Dean of Academics, Rev Liong Kwok Wai, updated all present with the renovation status of EAST Mission Hub. The Dean of Advancement, Rev Jonathan Yao, gave an update on activities coming up including weekly EAST Chapel Service now available online. Alumni were encouraged to let their networks know of the EAST free online courses which are available for anyone to join through online means regardless of their physical location. He also asked alumni to prayerfully consider whom they would want to send to EAST for studies.

The time ended with several alumni sharing about their family and ministry at the present time. The Alumni Office will be sending out reminders for the EAST Chapel Service and a proposed date for the next alumni get together.
