EAST Aleph Photo Moments

EAST Aleph has started our new students on an online journey of knowing fellow students, faculty and staff as a community while getting ready for the academic semester ahead. The rotating pictures above captured some moments with our faculty, staff and students in the first morning of EAST Aleph via Zoom.

On the first morning of EAST Aleph, the new students were welcomed by EAST office bearers representing the faculty and staff and the Student Council representing the student body. Dr Roland Tan, the Dean of Students, and Mr Wong Choong Voon, the Student Council President, warmly welcomed all the new students.

Rev Dr Chan Chong Hiok, the EAST President, invited the new students to a faith adventure of growth whilst studying at EAST. In his message and reflecting the learning ethos of EAST, all were exhorted to grow holistically in their heart, head, hands through the power of the Holy Spirit. Everyone present then broke up into small groups to pray with and for the new students.

On reconvening, Ms Yami Asai, the Prayer Coordinator for Student Council and a second year MDiv program student, shared about her “amazing experience” at EAST thus far. Her life is being transformed as a result of her experiencing the cross-cultural community life, extensive ministry equipping and exposure, and teachers who teach with passion at EAST.
